Foreign Individual + EntrePass

This package is suitable for foreign individuals who intend to start and operate a new business in Singapore and relocate here using Entrepreneur Pass (EntrePass). You are eligible for an EntrePass if you fulfill the following requirements:
• You have (or intend to start) a private limited company registered with ACRA
• Your company has at least $50,000 in paid-up-capital
• You hold at least 30% of the shares in the company
• The business is not illegal

In addition, you must ensure that your business meets at least one of the following requirements:
• Funding from a government accredited VC or business angel
• Holds an intellectual property
• Has research collaboration with A*STAR or a university
• Is an incubatee at a government-supported incubator

Meanwhile, you will also need to meet the 5 statutory requirements for setting up a private limited company.

A foreign entrepreneur has the option to set up a limited liability company (LLC) in Singapore. A LLC in which shares are held by less than 50 members is called a private limited company, while a LLC with more than 50 shareholders is called a public limited company. A foreign individual is allowed to incorporate a private limited company provided he fulfills the 5 statutory requirements as per the Company’s Law.

As per Company’s Law, the 5 statutory conditions that must be fulfilled for setting up a new company are:
• 1 shareholder
• 1 resident director
• 1 paid up capital
• 1 company secretary
• 1 local registered company address

EntrePass means Entrepreneur Pass, meant for eligible foreign entrepreneurs who want to start and operate a new business in Singapore. The Pass has a validity of 1 year and can be renewed upon meeting the renewal criteria.

A business plan is the blueprint of a company and is the quintessential document for the application of EntrePass. Bridgeport Consulting offers a special service of creating a well drafted business plan. As per Ministry of Manpower (MOM), a business plan should not be more than 10 pages in length and should cover the following:
• Business idea
• Product or service offered
• Market analysis
• Market plan
• Operation plan
• Financial projections
• Management team
• Supporting documents - licensing agreements, product certifications and endorsements

The following businesses are not eligible for an EntrePass: Coffee shops, hawker centres, food courts, Bars, night clubs, karaoke lounges, Foot reflexology, massage parlours, Acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, herbal dispensing businesses, Employment agencies and Geomancy business.
